HiQ strengthens franchise model with new Retail Business Consultant role

Tuesday, 9th July 2024

HiQ Tyres & Autocare, Goodyear’s UK network of independent autocare centres, has announced the appointment of Birmingham-based Samantha Tavernor as a Retail Business Consultant. Tavernor joins HiQ to focus on executing its business development plan, following strong growth across the network over the last few years. The role will be based at HiQ’s headquarters in the Birmingham Business Park.

The new role presents an important opportunity to expand, as well as strengthening HiQ’s presence in the industry. The HiQ network is aligned to deliver value for every partner, each of which benefits from the support of a successful franchise model.

Tavernor has worked for global tyre brand Goodyear, which backs the HiQ network, for 13 years. Much of that time was spent working in supply chain before moving to a fleet role in 2023. In her new role at HiQ, she will focus on strategies to help strengthen the current franchisee network, which currently includes more than 160 autocentres across the UK.

“There has never been a better time to be part of HiQ as we focus on attracting more partners to work with us,” Tavernor explains. “We work collaboratively with our partners to create demand for services that demonstrate a strength in numbers mentality.

“Our service partners are often independent entrepreneurs and businesses that benefit from being part of a UK-wide network. Whether that’s access to consistent business or the use of a nationally-recognised brand. This dynamic creates valuable synergies that benefit every customer.”

Craig Sprigmore, Goodyear Retail Director UK & Ireland, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Samantha at such an exciting time for our business. Her wealth of experience and energy will help HiQ to continue to deliver. With our projections for growth, Samantha’s addition to the team will be a huge asset in ensuring the successful execution of our strategy and continued growth for the HiQ network.”
